Throughout 2023 we will be visiting a library near you, and you are invited to join us on our quest to make a Hero and Villain adventure story.

Collect your free Activity Pack!

Receive a limited edition Comic Book Activity Pack by visiting your local participating library. Alternatively, download a copy to print at home.

Your Activity Pack will help you to create your own Hero and Villain story by following a trail around your local library. There are clues to find, puzzles to solve and even QR codes to scan to find out more information, but don’t worry if you can’t scan any of the codes, as there are links to all the videos you will need further down this page.

If you want to, we’d love you to share what you do in your Activity Pack with us so we can display it in our gallery below. Take a look to see some of the fantastic artwork we have already received!

How do I submit my photo?

We’d love to see your final Hero and Villain pictures! If you would like your artwork to be added to the gallery on this page, please take a picture of the final page of your Activity Pack and send it to katie@madebykatiegreen.co.uk or ask a grown up to share it with us on social media (using the hashtag #StoryDetectives).

Let us know your name and age if you would like us to share those too.

Please note that the Activity Trail will only be installed at the libraries listed to the right for a limited period of time, but there are some handy hints on the Activity Pack that mean you could complete the quest at any time.

More about The Story Detectives

The Story Detectives is a dance performance designed for libraries, aimed at children, young people and families.

It is an interactive adventure in which two characters – named Particular and Playful – head off on a quest to find the Most Important Story. That quest will be bringing them to a library near you very soon! You can also watch the trailer for The Story Detectives performance here.
