Introducing our new Made By Katie Green intern for 2013!

My name is Kate Thomas and I’m the 2013 intern with Made By Katie Green. This opportunity arose from Katie working in partnership with Enterprise@Lincoln, a centre working alongside the University of Lincoln, to support and give opportunities to recent graduates. I was lucky enough to be hired for the next three months to work alongside Katie and her company during the Dancing in Museums project.

Reflections from time with Full House Theatre (UK) and Aracaladanza (Spain)

In preparation for my Dancing in Museums project, I spent some time with UK-based Full House Theatre Company (directors Harriet Hardie and Ben Miles) at the end of 2012 and with Spanish company Aracaladanza (choreographer: Enrique Cabrera) at the end of January 2013. I am extremely grateful to both companies for being so welcoming - it was invaluable for me to spend time observing Full House's rehearsals for Rapunzel and Aracaladanza's rehearsals for Constelaciones.

Dancing in Museums R&D week 3 thoughts

The final week and a half of our Dancing in Museums research consisted of return visits to the 5 primary schools I worked with in week 1; research on-site at The Collection Museum, with children from Monks Abbey School on the 18th March, and then working towards a sharing for an small audience on the 25th March; initial work in response to music from Max Perryment; workshops with writer Anna Selby.
