Some images from week 3 of the Dancing in Museums R&D

This week got off to a great start, as we worked on site at The Collection Museum with children from Monks Abbey School on Monday morning. We then went to Monks Abbey school to work with Mrs Ogden's class in the afternoon and spent today with the children at Ling Moor School.

End of week 1: Dancing in Museums R&D

The busy first week of Dancing in Museums research workshops in Lincolnshire primary schools ended today at St Andrew's School in Leasingham. The children from Mr Harrison's class had been to The Collection Museum very recently and were therefore able to share with me the stories of their favourite Roman objects, and to bring them to life through movement.

Week 1: more photos

Here are some more images from our first research week for the Dancing in Museums project with primary school children from Lincolnshire. They were taken at North Scarle School, and show some of the children looking at artefacts from The Collection Museum Fossils Loan Box, Fletcher's picture of the 'rock with lots of eyes' and our sea urchin with millions of legs. Once again, thank you to all the children and North Scarle School for having us. More updates to follow.
