​Yesterday I attended the UCL Museums/Impropera Symposium 'Theatrically Re-imagining Collections' (#museumsreimagined). It was a great event, featuring some examples of best practice from Punchdrunk Enrichment/National Maritime Museum, British Museum/Royal Shakespeare Company, Do not adjust your stage/National History Museum, National Museum of Wales/Theatre na nOg and Battersea Arts Centre/Creative Museums, giving me lots of food for thought and raising some interesting questions.

Throughout 2016 we will be continuing to share 'The Imagination Museum' ​more broadly across the UK. Alongside these performances we will be undertaking new research, and making some decisions about what we would like to do next with our work in museums and heritage sites.

We are thrilled that we have been supported through a Paul Hamlyn Foundation 'Explore and Test' grant to develop the work we have been doing with schools, museums and heritage sites since 2013, contributing to the delivery of the primary school history curriculum using dance.

On the 7th March I attended an Arts Council England (South East) consultation event at Sheringham Little Theatre. Chaired by Hedley Swain, with Sir Peter Bazalgette, Amy Vaughan and Debs Butler from the Arts Council as well as many representatives from arts organisations, libraries, museums and local government, the discussion focussed on rural infrastructure and the distribution of great art, including the special part played by museums and libraries.

Following a long gap since our last Made By YOU project with young choreographer Alexa Mason in 2011, we're thrilled to announce we are offering another opportunity for a talented young choreographer to create work that will be presented alongside forthcoming performances of 'The Imagination Museum'.
