The interplay of emotions (or motivations/limitations) that occurs within the decision-making process is significant and various approaches to producing movement material using this interplay produce choreographically interesting material.
Our second week of workshops for the first Made By Katie Green dance film have provided a great deal more food for thought, and I will document some of our key discoveries over the next 5 blog posts instead of trying to fit it all into one post. (Video footage will follow later when I’ve had time to process it.)
Last week I spent some time at Clarence Mews researching the ideas feeding into my flow theory project with independent dance scientist and educator Elsa Urmston and a small group of dancers.
At the end of 2012 I undertook some research into a potential dance on film project exploring flow theory.
